Frequently Asked Questions

1. Are your services available to residents as well as businesses?


Yes, though we do not pick up residential materials, we will accept them on a drop off basis at our main facility as well as locations in Louisville and Cincinnati (see FAQ #5 for information regarding additional drop off locations).

2. Do you take items other than those listed on your website?


We do take additional items. To inquire about a specific item, please call (502) 570-8545. Please see FAQ #6 for a more intensive list of acceptable/unacceptable items.

3. Do you accept televisions? What are the costs?

Yes, we do accept televisions. Some televisions will be accepted at no cost. However, depending on the size and manufacturer, the prices will vary. For inquiry for a specific item, please call (502) 570-8545.

4. Do you facilitate recycling drives?


GES works with several other organizations/companies throughout the year to facilitate collection drives for residents all across the state of Kentucky. To inquire about upcoming collection drives or to see if there is one in your area, please call (502) 570-8545.

5. Do you offer alternative drop off points?


Yes, GES has residential drop off points in both Cincinnati and Louisville.

*Kinsafe will not accept televisions.

6. Does GES accept floppy disks, CDs, light bulbs, batteries, VHS, or cassette tapes?


GES will accept floppy disks and CDs. However, we are unable to process items such as light bulbs, batteries, or products containing ribbon such as VHS or cassette tapes. To find a recycler of items not accepted by GES, please visit http://earth911.com.
